everything. It's also myopic to think
that if Jonathan were to still be in
power, we would be worse off.

[Part 2] Nigeria and the implications of a Donald Trump presidency - Femi Fani

Article:  by Femi Fani Kayode: Yet as hard as the Obama/Clinton/Kerry triumverate may try to cover it up, it appears that the message about the real situation in Buhari's Nigeria is beginning to get across to the world. As a glaring example of this permit me to share the words of a strong Trump supporter, Republican Congressman Tom Marino, which were contained in a letter that he sent to Secretary of State John Kerry a few days ago. Nigeria's Thisday newspaper on 4th September 2016 captured the contents of that letter as follows: "A member of the United States Congress, Tom Marino, has written a letter to Secretary of State, John Kerry, asking the US government to withhold security assistance to Nigeria until President Muhammadu Buhari demonstrates a “commitment to inclusive government and the most basic tenets of democracy: freedom to assemble and freedom of speech”. He also asked the State Department to refrain from selling warplanes and other milita...

Nigeria and the implications of a Donald Trump presidency (part 1) - By FFK

Article By Femi Fani Kayode: I support Mr. Donald J. Trump's presidential bid because he has admitted publicly that the American-inspired removal of Arab secularist leaders like Saddam Hussein, Muammar Ghadaffi, Hosni Mubarak and, more recently, the attempt to remove Bashir Al Assad were wrong, short-sighted, counter-productive and have led to nothing but chaos. How many politicians, from either side of America's political divide, have that level of vision and understanding of world affairs? How many have the courage to admit that succcesive American Presidents, including George W. Bush who was a Republican like him, were wrong on this issue? Hussein, Ghadaffi, Mubarak and Al Assad were/are, though dictators, moderate Muslims who fought and supressed the Islamist terrorists and islamic fundamentalism in their respective domains. Since the time they were removed or bogged down in fighting a civil war, as is the case with Assad, the Middle East, north, ea...
