Sullivan Chime NOT Dead, Close Source Confirms

There was mild panic yesterday, Saturday, over reports that the immediate past Enugu state Governor, Barr. Sullivan Chime, has died in an Indian hospital. Contrary to such rumors, sources reveal the former governor is very much alive.

The rumour of Chime’s purported death was reportedly amplified at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday by a WhatsApp broadcast: “Breaking! Former Governor of Enugu State, Barrister Sullivan Chime, is dead.”

One of Chime’s ex-aide, who was contacted by DailyPost dismissed the rumour, describing it as antics of wicked people.
“There is no such thing; he is hale and hearty; this rumour is from the pit of hell”, he said pleading anonymity.
DAILY POST equally reached out to some sources at the Enugu Government House, who equally maintained that the death rumour was untrue.
“Chime is enjoying himself at Udi, his home town”, one of them said.

‎This is not the first time such rumour is been peddled about Chime. In 2013, he was equally reported to have died in India where he had gone for treatment.
However, he returned to Nigeria after three months of treatment and described the death rumour as entertaining.
