Aging is a natural thing that everyone must go through, but there are various habits some of us do that makes our skin age faster and we must by all means try to avoid them.   Here are 7 reasons your skin ages fast.

1) Stress  


Health

Stress has a negative effect on your body,  which will surely show on your skin. When stressed your body produces high level of a stress hormone called cortisol. Chronic stress triggers  the release of free radicals,  the unstable molecules that damage cells which is responsible for aging. Stress can also dehydrate your skin, this interfere with its ability to repair itself when damaged. So try as much as possible to avoid stress,  relax,  get enough rest,  exercise.   


 2) Makeup

Cosmetics are a great way to conceal blemishes,  enhance your beauty, and also boost outward appearance but this can take a negative toll on your skin.  Ingredients in Makeup like zinc oxide,  dimethicone,  propylene can work against your skin causing breakouts while Bismuth Oxychloride  found in mineral makeup  can cause irritation that leads to peeling. Roughly applying Makeup on skin can cause wrinkles just like too much Makeup can also prevent your skin from breathing which result in an unhealthy looking pale face.

When next you puff cigarette just remember this,  that your skin is at danger.  The smoke of cigarettes spurs the process of aging. The nicotine narrows the blood vessel,  blocking the oxygen supply to your skin. Premature wrinkles are a fall out of smoking. Smoking also loses the elasticity of the skin,  enhancing wrinkles around your lips.        


 4) Junk Foods.

Eating junk foods will not only add extra pounds to your body  but will also be adding years to your face through a process called glycation. This can result in a loss of radiance, puffiness,  increase in
fine lines,  wrinkles,  dark circles under the eyes,  increased pore size etc.
So fill up on healthy meals and cut down the junk foods if you want to preserve that youthful glow.    


5) Washing your Face with Soap

You need to know your skin type before you damage your skin even more,  soap contains harsh chemicals and this chemicals dry out our skin.      


6) You are Cutting Off All Fats From Your Diet

Not all fats are bad,  infact some fats is really necessary to maintain a youthful appearance. One just need to know the right fat for you.  Heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids found in oily fish like salmon,  and mackerel keep skin supple and plump thereby preventing wrinkles on the face. Nuts and flax seeds are also a great omega  3 fatty acids. These are the best anti ageing fat,  which is needed also needed to protect your brain,  joints,  heart,  bones as well as your skin and lots more.   


 7) Lack of Adequate Sleep.

You need at least 8hours of sleep daily,  skimping on sleep results in dark circles,  puffy eye bags,  slackened skin,  breakout,  tired looking eyes and to top this you look nothing like the young woman you use to be. Less sleep has also be linked to a shorter life span,  high blood pressure,  weight gain,  diabetes etc.
